The National Franchise Mediation Program was established in 1993 by a group of franchisors who sought a way to resolve disputes between franchisors and franchisees without the rancor and cost of litigation, wherever possible. Its goal is to resolve such conflicts fairly, amicably and cost-effectively. The NFMP has been endorsed by both the International Franchise Association and the American Association of Franchisees & Dealers.
